Description

Color postcard with two images of Arnholm's Motel Antiques on the Barre-Montpelier Road/US Route 302 in Barre, Vermont. The postcard is portrait orientation, with the top half depicting an interior of a motel room. The walls are wood-paneled and there are brown floral curtains on the window and above the bed. There is a four-poster double bed with red cover. To the right of the bed are two lamps, a dresser, teapot, mirror, flowerpot, and a rocking chair. The image below shows the outside of the motel. It is brown with yellow trim. There is an outdoor table and chairs with a green and white-striped umbrella to the right of the motel, and a yellow spinning wheel along the entrance path to the left. The text on the back of the postcard reads, "Arnholm's Motel Antiques Barre-Montpelier Rd- Barre, VT. Route 302 Tel. Gr. 6-5921 Television, Air-Conditioning, Radiant Heat" as well as the AAA logo.

Arnholm's was at 891 North Main Street, Barre, according to Manning's 1976 Barre-Montpelier Directory.
