Description
Farm with a rail fence in the foreground. This farm was the Levi Bailey farm located in Berlin on the road now (as of 2022) named Paine Turnpike North. It stood on the opposite side of the road, a short distance north of where the Montpelier water treatment plant now stands and was at the top of the hill that descended down to the Montpelier town line. The house burned on November 11, 1942 when it was owned by Demars. It was rebuilt at the same location using the salvaged bricks from the original house.
